Bit of a pants picture of what was actually a really nice manicure: mattified candy stripes in pink, red and beige.
I based the colour scheme on my favourite cardigan (of course) and I think there was also some inspiration from a post on the Nailasaurus where Sammy did matte candy stripes, although the finished effect is quite different.
This was a very straightforward look to achieve: I painted a base of Barry M Gelly Lychee (the buff) and then used a small nail art brush to freehand on the stripes, in Barry M Gelly Blood Orange (the red) and Accessorize Exotic Brights Hot Pink. Then I topped it off with my Rimmel matte topcoat. Pretty cute and I think they look like a stick of Brighton rock, i.e., SUPER YUMMY. If only they tasted equally good.
